Any matter having major ramifications on the revenue of the Government or policy implications, which in the opinion of Director General, DGH is a matter of significance requiring Government. 1.2 Governance Advisory Council The Directorate General of Hydrocarbons has an Advisory Council that is appointed by the Government and consists of a Chairman and members who are distinguished individuals in the field of hydrocarbon exploration and production. The Directorate provides support to the Advisory Council and is headed by the Director General, who also serves as the Member Secretary to the Council. Table 1.1: Composition of Administrative Council of DGH Administrative Council The Government of India established an Administrative Council on February 2 nd , 2001, through Office Memorandum No. O-32012/1/95- ONG-III dated 2.2.2001, to provide guidance and oversee all administrative aspects of the DGH's operations. The Administrative Council is responsible for making decisions related to establishment, budgeting, and conducting periodic reviews of the DGH's functioning.
