1. Naval Clearance - As per the existing procedure, all vessels, drilling rigs, barges, platforms, supply vessels, etc. engaged in E&P activities in India are required to obtain security clearance from Ministry of Defence (Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence – Navy) and the applications are submitted to DGH for obtaining approval from Ministry of Defence on behalf of operator.

 

2. Airforce Clearance – As per the existing procedure, clearance of Aircrafts and all equipment on board the aircraft for all airborne survey etc. engaged in E&P activities in India are required to obtain security clearance from Ministry of Defence (Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence – Air) and DGCA (Ministry of Civil Aviation). The application for DGCA is to be submitted by operator directly to DGCA as per their procedures and one copy of the application will be submitted to DGH.

 

3. Army Clearance – As per the existing procedure, for land based activities in restricted or protected area etc., an E&P operator is required to obtain security clearance from Ministry of Defence (Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence – Army) and the applications are submitted to DGH for obtaining approval from Ministry of Defence on behalf of operator.

A digital copy of survey data acquired needs to be given to respective clearance giving wing of MOD free of cost by operator and receipt obtained from same to be submitted to DGH for information.

 

4. Data Processing Abroad - Any survey data needs to be sent abroad for processing will need prior clearance from MOD as per existing rules/procedures.
